Head designer and founder Brooke, delivers a personal touch to her work - going above and beyond to make each piece of clothing transformative. When you work with her you will feel validated, confident and beautiful. She is here to inspire your most confident self.

The Design By B range of services takes on a creative and knowledgeable process, giving a stylistic eye to the alteration or custom experience.

The Atelier is located in Newcastle and is a welcoming and comfortable space for fittings. Brooke is working on introducing her bridal collection of minis and veils, which will launch soon.

Since studying, Brooke’s work has been influenced by beautiful textiles and fine craftsmanship. She prides herself on being a great listener and is inspired by her client’s vision for each garment.

APPOINTMENTS

  • Yes please! Design By B wants to offer you the experience you deserve, which means full attention on you, when you don’t book unforturently you may be turned away so we want to save you the hassle of that with book in. Please click here to make an appointment.

  • First appointments for bridal alterations do have a booking fee of $50 to secure your spot. This is taken off your alterations cost, however if you do not wish to proceed this fee is non-refundable.

    I offer free 15 min consultations for brides who are after a custom dress option.

    All other alterations have no cost when booking in.

  • Please bring your shoes!

    You will need to bring the shoe you’ll be wearing on the day or one of a similar height.

    In addition, please bring any particular undergarments or shapewear you may be wearing on the day.

  • Of course you can. We can cater to 3 additional people to sit comfortably in the space. If you are wanting to bring more, please let Brooke know and she will do her best to accommodate.

  • There is a side street car park along with plenty of space on the street.

ALTERATIONS

  • YES. All dresses are made to order and whilst the bridal boutiques do take your measurements they are not made to fit. That’s where Brooke comes in.

    Some alterations that you may need include: hemming, taking in, tightening the straps, hip/bottom shaping, bra cups and adding a bustle to name a few.

  • YES , YES , YES. Please check out our portfolio page more some examples.

  • Unfortunately we can’t give you an exact quote until you come in. Every dress has different finishes, fabrics and layers so without physically seeing the dress, it makes it very hard to determine.

  • A good time frame for when you want to come in for alterations is 6-8 weeks before the wedding day.

    Brooke does book up quickly so, the recommendation is to book in as soon as you have purchased the dress to avoid missing out.

  • Brooke will do her best to squeeze you in! She doesn’t want to disappoint you. on your special day.

    If your wedding date is under 2-4 weeks, a rush fee payment will be added to the final cost.
