Hi Fashion lovers,

A simple sewing task that so many of us don’t know how to do or do but not correctly. So I thought I would do a little post on how to sew a button!!!

I have attached a free Instruction sheet that you can download and also a video outlining the steps for you all to follow along with.

What you will need is:

Needle – Any basic sewing needle will do the thinner the better

Thread- Same colour as the garment you are sewing the button onto if possible

Button- The one that has fallen off or a spare or one that matches in the rest. NOTE- some buttons have 2 holes and some have 4 the one I’m using has 4 but you can adapt this method for the 2 swell.

Cutting tools- scissor, knife or something sharp to cut the threads.

Hi Fashion lovers,

I’ve always been really conscious in what I buy and try my best to buy Australian made and support local businesses as best I can, I hope now more so than ever, everyone else can really start of get on board and understand just how important it is to pay that bit extra for something made locally instead getting something from the big shopping centres and buying what is know as ” fast fashion”.

Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE that feeling of buying something new, the thrill of the chase and all that. But you know what? You can get the same feeling by refreshing/ refashioning something you already own and I’m going to show you how.

Refashion your wardrobe. This post is for anyone who has old clothing that you still love yet want to change. People who have lots weight, People who love op shopping. You can do so much with old clothes and in this post I’m going to give you an example of what you can do or possibly even for those Newcastle locals can contact me and we can refashion a piece together.

I found this top when going through my Mum’s wardrobe and I just loved the pattern and colour of this fabric. This top is too big for me yet I can deconstruct it and make something for myself.

For all of you that think your clothes can’t have a second life you are wrong with my help we can totally change a garment your’ve had for years into something fresh. There are so many more things I could have done with this like a mini skirt, I could have added some black plain fabric to the bottom and made it into a dress, I would have enough to even made some shorts. So next time your ready to throw something out or give to vinnies think twice we might be able to Re-fashion it!
